Cyber Joke Part 03-4:A Change in Plans

The smile on his face turned demonic. He loomed over her and the red anger seethed out of him. “Listen deary. You love me!? Then help me. You're daft if you think Bat for Brains or Bruce Wayne is ever letting me out of here! You can ride Bruce's shaft all you like, but your quim is not gonna bring me my freedom!” His face softened and immediately turned to a sad tsk tsk look. “I know dear, the truth hurts. Now, like I said, watch and observe.” He cupped her chin as he finished speaking.

Harleen was horrified. She wondered what she'd gotten herself into. But she knew he was right. She could take Bruce to bed, but he was Bruce Wayne, he did as he pleased. Like all the other rich and powerful. She didn't owe him anything. “W..well what's the plan then?”

“Ahhh, that's my girl.” Joker was all smiles again.

Cameras were in this area, but not everywhere was covered and some cameras had mysteriously malfunctioned yesterday. In moments Joker and Ian had switched clothes and Harleen and the new Ian escorted the new Joker back to his cell. The hitch hiking spider mech leaped onto Harleen again with her unaware.

“Now the next part of the plan.” Joker said.

“We wont be able to get past Blaine.” Harleen looked nearly terrified.

“Au contraire ma fil. He's going to alert the front of a sick Ian being assisted out by a good Dr. Quinzel while your loving patient is feeling under the weather and should be left alone. It seems this bug is really getting around Hah Hah Hah!!!”

“Why is Blaine...” Harleen started

“Observe my dear.”

Just then the spider jumped from Harleen and onto the electronic pad for the door lock.

“Holy crap! What is that thing, get it off me!” Harleen cried, brushing and beating her body.

“Calm yourself dear. It is off you and it wont hurt you. It's a gift from a friend. A special nano mech.”


It dawned on her. “You know Dr. Bryce?” Harleen asked.
Joker's red eyes lit up and his smile widened even more, if that's possible. “Hoo Hoo Hoo, you continue to surprise and amaze my lovely. Now come on.”

They went through the door and the mech jumped on Harleen, again without her noticing. Blaine was in his seat by the monitor and comm. He was passed out. Not dead, but Harleen felt his head and the man had a high fever. Joker then taped up the man's fingers so only the middle finger was up and stiff. Next he rigged some string to the guards wrist and looped it over a small duct from overhead.

“What on earth are you doing?” Harleen asked.

“In unusual circumstances the front asks the guards in the back for a secret wave at the camera to make sure they are not compromised. It changes weekly. There are different signs for trouble or for everything being okay. Ironically this week's wave is the ever popular and all meaning “bird”. Hah Hah Hah.”

“HOO HOO HOO. Look at that! Joker pulled on the string and the man's hand went up and down like he was flipping someone off. He then proceeded to amuse himself for a moment with his new toy. “Hah Hah! Say Batman, what's your IQ?” He pulled on the string and Blaine's arm went up in the one finger salute. “Say Batman, I hear your a fan of southern rock, so here's your Free Bird! Hoo Hoo Hoo! Say Batman, here's what I think of you.” And he pulled hard on the string pulling the man's wrist and causing a groan to emit from his lips.
